Welcome to Project H2. A new group of writers making work to be revealed at the 2017 Humber Mouth Literature Festival in September. We are led by an alumni of the last Project H group, the Hull playwright Lydia Marchant, supported by Writing Squad Director Steve Dearden.
We will keep you up to date with how things are developing in the Updates section.
You can still see the results of H1, a collage of the city and the surrounding area, published by Hull’s Wrecking Ball Press. The book was launched at the 2015 Humber Mouth – you can download a PDF version here.
The Writing Squad is the writer development programme for writers aged 16-21 in the north of England.
We would like to thank Humber Mouth for giving us this opportunity, Hull City Council and Arts Council England for paying for it, and Hull Libraries, not just for hosting our meetings in the James Reckitt Reading Room, but for being one of the few libraries that still seems to know what a vital role they play in promoting new writing and new reading.
