Cruel chopping and protecting magic
Project H participant Joshua Murphy writes …
‘Writing close to home is writing connected to the heart.’ A quote by me, feel free to use it. This time our adventures in the James Reckitt room were all connected to Hull, one way or another.
We started simply with sirens, and followed them across the city. Some of our paths connected, whether it be location or lights of our emergencies, however we discovered our journeys were far from as similar as seemed.
Next, a tale commencing from somewhere around Hull. We were given minor frameworks, and soon our tasks came to an end. We heard of stories from the Mill, amongst other places, and we discovered that for everywhere we pass, someone has a story to tell about it.
Finally, we shortened our previous writings, and transformed some of them from ramblings and reckless writing into well-crafted pieces of our moulding. Yet, not all writing benefitted from a cruel chopping, and tales lost the magic they once held.
