Creating Spaces

Tonight the second of our Writing Squad writers led the workshop, Chaz Josephs who is at uni here in Hull is currently in our Yorkshire Squad, Katherine Horrex who led us last month is one of our grads.

This is what this whole project has been about really, creating a space in Hull where our writers with Hull connections can begin to get working experience in all the other stuff writers need to do to earn a living these days.  It is also all about us getting to meet young writers in Hull some of whom may one day join us, though already it feels that the six we are working with on Project H are part of the wider community of writers the Squad has become.

Chaz got us writing tonight, it is what we love doing, exercise after exercise, creative spaces in which to play.  We are half way through Project H now, we have got to know each other and each others work, next month the we need to focus on the Humber Mouth in November, start creating what is going to fill the space they have given us there.
